Gerard Butler as The Black Freighter’s Castaway in Watchmen?

From beyondhollywood.com: Will Gerard Butler be in Zack Snyder’s “Watchmen” after all? Snyder has said in the past that he wants Butler to be in the movie in some capacity, and Butler himself has all but agreed that he would like to have some part in the movie, even if it wasn’t a big one (his schedule would seem to preclude a too-big role that would require too much commitment). The guys over at UGO has the lowdown on the possible/probably Butler appearance (cameo?) in “Watchmen”. [More]

The Crudup Conundrum

This is sort of a 'non-news-news' type of story. Calls placed into Billy Crudup's publicist and agent were returned with a 'Cannot talk about it, ask the studio', when asked if Crudup will be at Comic-Con we received a 'Cannot talk about it, ask the studio, sorry'. Following this logic can lead us to believe that Crudup may be involved in the film, however with this logic we can also say Charlie Chaplin may be in this film...since no one is saying much. All signs point to at least one major casting announcement at Comic-Con, if not more.
